Student Service Hours
Giving Back
At Holy Rosary Catholic School, we strive to nurture not only the academic excellence of our students but also their spiritual growth as young Catholics. Our students are encouraged to embody the values of compassion, service, and community involvement—becoming true community saints.
Service Hour Requirements
As part of their spiritual development, HRS students are required to participate in age-appropriate community service. Service hour expectations are as follows:
Grades 1–4: 3 hours per school year
Grades 5–6: 6 hours per school year
Grades 7–8: 9 hours per school year
These requirements provide students with meaningful opportunities to give back while learning responsibility and empathy.
Fostering Spiritual Development
Community service at HRCS is more than just a requirement—it is a key element of our faith-based education. By serving others, students grow in compassion, generosity, and social awareness, living out the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Making a Difference
Whether volunteering at local shelters, participating in environmental clean-up projects, or offering support to the elderly, HRCS students actively contribute to the well-being of others. These acts of service not only fulfill school expectations but also help shape our students into kind, thoughtful, and engaged members of the greater community.
