Art & Music

At Holy Rosary, we rely on the support of volunteer Art Docents to bring a rich and vibrant art experience to our students. Because we do not have a full-time art teacher, the Art Docent Program plays a key role in delivering high-quality visual arts education across all grade levels.

Art Docents are dedicated classroom volunteers who work alongside teachers to present engaging, age-appropriate art lessons. These lessons introduce students to a variety of artistic techniques, materials, and concepts while encouraging creativity and self-expression.

Through hands-on projects and exposure to notable artists and art history, students in grades TK–8 develop artistic skills, fine motor coordination, and confidence. The program supports the California Visual Arts Standards and enhances the overall learning environment with color, creativity, and joy.

Holy Rosary’s music program is currently being restructured, and we are seeking a volunteer to help lead a revitalized our choir and music program in anticipation of our new church opening in Fall 2025.

Our vision includes regular music classes for TK–8th grade during the school day, as well as an after-school choir for 4th–8th grade. The program would offer voice instruction, music theory, and choir practice, with a special focus on learning to sing hymns for Mass in both English and Latin.

Please email Principal Hannah Giovannetti (hgiovannetti@hrsaints.com) if you are interested in this wonderful opportunity!
