Education in Virtue

Holy Rosary Catholic School integrates the Disciple of Christ, Education in Virtue program in grades TK-8. Developed by the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, and based on the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas, this program offers a way of life that helps students grow in happiness and holiness.

Each month, students focus on two virtues, introduced and discussed during morning assembly and reinforced across campus life. Over time, students naturally adopt the language of virtue and grow as disciples of Christ.

At the close of each virtue cycle, one student per grade is honored at a Virtue Award Ceremony, held after an all-school Mass on Wednesday mornings. Awards recognize those who most visibly live out the virtue being studied.

Through this ongoing focus, we foster a school culture where faith, character, and community flourish.
